Peakguide is committed to ensuring your privacy and any information you provide will be used in accordance with this policy. This policy sets out what information we collect, why we collect it and how long we hold it for.



Contractual information


Contractual information is collected to be able to process your booking. This information includes


  • Your name, address, email address, phone number and details of your booking including how many participants booked on the activity, which activity you have booked and on what date(s).

  • Your debit/credit card details to allow bookings to be processed.

  • A record of your agreement to the Terms and Conditions of using Peakguide, the Consent Form regarding risk, the right to use photographic images and this Privacy Policy.


    This information is held for 1 year.


Medical information


You will be asked if you wish to share any medical information, injuries and medication you are taking before your activity. We ask for this as it may impact on the health and safety of yourself or other members of the public. However, you have no obligation to share this information. If you do so, this will be done verbally and no record of this information will be recorded as it is considered sensitive. However, if you have given us this information it may be shared with the emergency services. (See below)

Emergency information


This includes information we may use in the event of an emergency and which we may share with the emergency services. This includes your name, date of birth, gender, medical information (if you have shared this with us), emergency contact name and emergency phone number.


This information is held for 3 months after the booked event takes place.



Photographic images


Peakguide occasionally publishes images from walks on its website which may include participants. You will be asked if you wish to sign a consent form to say if you agree to Peakguide using those images . No images are ‘tagged’ and no individuals are identified. You can request that images of yourself can be removed at any time by contacting Peakguide at:

Sharing information and third parties


Peakguide does not share any information with any third parties with the exception of the emergency services should the need arise or unless we are legally required to do so e.g. in the case of fraud. Peakguide may provide third party links on its website to information that may be beneficial to you such as weather forecasts, travel information and local accommodation. However, Peakguide is not responsible for the content or policies of any of these external websites.
